Thaba ya-Metsi Country Estate has eight rooms that are all uniquely and stylishly decorated; Euphoria Tree, Murala Tree, Wild Fig Tree, Stem Fruit Tree, Boekenhout Tree, Lavender Tree, Elephant Root Tree, and Olive Tree.  Each room has its own private entrance, ensuite washroom, and is equipped with:

 

• fully stocked bar fridge with soft drinks and wine
• hospitality tray with kettle, coffee, tea, and complimentary rusks, fruit and sherry
• television with satellite (DSTV) and MNET
• air conditioning
• fresh towels

One of the highlights to your visit, is the three-course dinner, which can be served in our dining room, or at request, on our wooden deck outside, where you get to experience the spectacular view over the Springbok Flats and Nile Wetlands.

 

Sunday lunch can also be arranged for those who wish to enjoy a peaceful afternoon while soaking up nature.  Sunday lunch must be booked on Saturdays, before 17h00.

 

For our overseas visitors, there is the convenience of a shuttle service from Johannesburg International Airport to our door and other nearby hunting or sight-seeing destinations, as well as a guide service that can be made available on request.

 

The shuttle service can also transport guests to the following attractions on request:

 

• Entabeni Big Five Nature Game Reserve
• Makapans Caves
• Reptile and Crocodile Farm
• Mineral resorts
• Doorndraai Dam for fishing or looking at wildlife
• Bird watching at Nylsvly
• Legend Golf Estate

 

For shuttle services to other sights such as the Kadishi Tusa Waterfall (largest in Africa) and The Kruger National Park, please contact us for more information as special arrangements will have to be made (overnight stay).
